“Gathered around the expressive motif of the blue hands, it featured canvas paintings, painted plaster sculptures, and several mixed-media installations. A special role was played by a two-meter-high, multi-layered art object made of wood, canvas, acrylic, and gold leaf, whose repertoire of motifs was artistically coordinated with the sacred artworks of the permanent exhibition in St. Anne’s Church. Thanks to the generous funding from the Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden, this artwork, titled ‘Epiphany Altar,’ has now been acquired for the Kamenz Municipal Collections. As a testament to a special moment in our museum’s exhibition history, it will be permanently preserved for the city alongside the exhibition catalog of the same name and exhibited from time to time. In a small special presentation designed for the unveiling of this acquisition, the artwork will be presented to all interested visitors in the presence of the artist, along with a selection of the paintings originally featured in the exhibition.”
